Acid frosting or Satine operation is the process of removing silicium particles from the surface of the glass with acid.

Thus microscopic holes form on the surface of the glass. And our eyes see the glass as White due to light refrections in different directions.

  • It has a much rubbed surface than sanding glass.
  • Satine glasses can be tempered, curved, and processed in all other glass processes.
